Meet Your Art Instructor Denise!

Denise Hall

b. 1973

Wife and mother with two children.

Artist, Respiratory Therapist at a pediatric hospital in Fort Worth

I started painting in 2005, but have always had an interest in creating art ever since I can remember( I actually remember drawing images out of the family Bible when I was 5). My passion in creating art did not start until December 2001 when I was pregnant with my first born, and was briefly put on bed rest for 2 weeks. During that time I was encouraged to draw, which was something done inconsistently until then. As time went by, eventually I began using color pencils and pastels to create artwork which mostly would consist of floral and landscape. Recently in the last 5 years I have also done a lot of abstract paintings.

After 3 years, I had a strong interest in oil painting and began taking classes once a week for about a year , while working full-time nights as a Respiratory Therapist. After a year, busyness got in the way so I could no longer take the painting classes. With that in mind my husband and family continued to encourage me to find the time to paint, if that was something I really wanted to do, even if it was for only 30 minutes every other night (when the kids were in bed!).

In 2008, when I had a bit more time to create, I had many opportunities to participate in local art shows in the Dallas Fort Worth area. As of August 2018 I have started teaching painting classes and hosting painting parties!. In 2019 I was featured in the Dallas Voyage magazine.

My inspiration to create art comes from the beauty in nature, color and life itself.

I want to thank my husband and family for supporting and encouraging me to continue pressing towards my goals as an artist and I want to thank my fans for their support also!!
